What a fun badge...and to think I did end up pushing this off simply because I could not connect it easily to anything else. We were able to complete this badge in one meeting (with some prep work and one take home piece). Pet Badge Steps: 1)Find out what different pets need 2)Keep a pet comfy 3)Help a pet stay healthy and safe 4)Make a pet feel loved 5) Feed a pet Step #4 we made a cat nip pet toy. Since I already had the stuffing for this meeting I only need to pick up some cat nip (amazon $5) and socks from $1 store. This craft took the girls a lot longer I only planned for 15 minutes (closer to 30 minutes) Step #2 each girl made a cat beds. I bought materials at Walmart and pre-cut each girls pillow (that was time consuming). Are meetings are only 1.5hrs so pre-cutting was necessary I knew cutting everything would have taken too long. To save money I used a plain black back (about 1/2 cost of pattern print). These pillows turned out really cute. To complete Step #2 & Step #3 I used some printout from Making Friends . For Step#5 I made a simple chart for each girl to take home. This was a really fun badge that all the girls enjoyed.
